Welcome
CalRTA, Area III and State Capital Division 5 are moving into the 21st Century with technology development. The inequalities of the change reflect our diversity in the different geographic areas, division effectiveness, age ranges and differences in the speed of communication. The real challenge is to figure how we can all arrive at a “oneness” about the same time. The division monitors legislative matters, supports five scholarships for Los Rios community colleges and Sacramento State, sends out six newsletters a year to keep our members informed, provides education and contact listings in the areas of insurance, resource services, membership, administrative and financial needs of the division, addresses communication needs and provides luncheons and programs at six meetings per year. Shari Beck has agreed to add website chair to her newsletter duties. Shari will monitor our website. The division website needs to provide information and linkages to the Area III and CalRTA websites as well as websites of the people with whom you need to be in contact.
